Last night, Justin Verlander represented the Houston Astros in Game 5 of the World Series, pitching for five innings and doing much to mute the Philadelphia Phillies bats in the process. Over the course of his start, Verlander notched six strikeouts and allowed just one run, paving the way for his Club's eventual, 3-2 win. Remarkably, despite starting in eight World Series games prior to last night, this contest marked the veteran Verlander's very first World Series win of his 17-year-long career.
