Ken Griffey Jr.
Homers in 8th consecutive game, tying record
Ken Griffey Jr. - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 120 - PR: 841
JULY 28, 1993 — Ken Griffey Jr.'s consecutive-game home run streak of eight was incredible, and tied him with Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Dale Long and Yankees legend Don Mattingly. This record-tying blast came in the seventh inning of a contest between Griffey Jr.'s Seattle Mariners and the Minnesota Twins. Unfortunately, Griffey's solo homer was all the Mariners had to offer offensively, and they took home a 5-1 loss on the day.
