Ken Griffey Jr.
Makes history by hitting 200th HR in 4-year span
Ken Griffey Jr. - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 146 - PR: 582
AUGUST 23, 1999 — Ken Griffey Jr. was accustomed to hitting a slew of home runs, and amazingly, on this day, he struck what would be his 200th in four seasons, becoming just the third player in the history of Major League Baseball to do so. This history-smithing longball was smacked in a contest between Griffey Jr.'s Seattle Mariners and Cleveland, and fans didn't have to wait long, as he smashed it in the first inning of their eventual 4-1 victory.
