Greg Maddux

SEPTEMBER 22, 2002 — Hall-of-Fame right-hander Greg Maddux had one of the most prolific careers for a Major League Baseball pitcher of all time, and on this day in 2002, he tied an incredible record previously held solely by Cy Young. Maddux picked up the 15th win of his 2002 MLB campaign, which marked the 15th straight season Maddux had picked up 15 wins or more. This feat, astonishing to say the least, was accomplished after a 4-1 win over the Florida Marlins.
