The Pittsburgh Pirates made a bit of quirky Major League Baseball history with their 1-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds yesterday, becoming just the sixth team to win an MLB game with zero hits. The only run of the game was courtesy of three consecutive walks, with the scoring play coming from a fielder’s choice. This incredibly rare type of victory hasn’t been seen since the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Angels without getting a hit, 1-0 in 2008.
