The Tigers legend drives a single to left field off of Colorado Rockies pitcher Yency Almonte in the first inning. Cabrera is greeted at first base by Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron as Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire and teammates erupt in celebration. The historic hit comes in Cabrera's 2,827th game, making him the 30th player in MLB history to reach 3,000 hits.
