Pittsburgh Pirates call-up outfielder Cal Mitchell hit the first home run of his Major League Baseball career just under two weeks after making his MLB debut on May 24th. The 23-year-old, Rancho Bernardo native belted a solo home run in the fifth inning of a contest between his Pirates and the Arizona Diamondbacks. What's more, Mitchell's home run broke the scoreless tie, and helped usher his Pirates to a shut-out, 3-0 victory.
