Eduardo Escobar had a truly breathtaking performance in last night's New York Mets 11-5 victory over the San Diego Padres. Escobar is proving to be indispensable to his Mets lineup, and last night, the 33-year-old hit for the cycle, just the 11th in Club history. He started his journey with a two-run single in the first inning, and after hitting a double in the fourth inning and a two-run homer in the eighth, Escobar completed his cycle with a stand-up triple in the ninth inning.
