Jerar Encarnacion

Most players dream of having a Major League Baseball debut like Jerar Encarnacion’s yesterday, as the outfielder hit a grand slam, stole a base, and recorded an assist in a 6-2 victory for his Miami Marlins over the New York Mets. Incredibly, Encarnacion is the first player ever to record the aforementioned feats in his MLB debut since at least 1901. Additionally, he became the first Dominican-born player to have hit a grand slam in his debut.
