Paul Goldschmidt

In yesterday’s mid-day contest between his St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds, veteran Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt belted the 300th home run of his Major League Baseball career. The 34-year-old, Wilmington, Delaware native connected with a pitch from Reds starter Nick Lodolo in the second inning to send this milestone longball, which was good for two runs, over the fence. Goldschmidt’s passage of the 300-home-run milestone wasn’t all that Cardinals fans had to celebrate, as the Club also took home an 11-3 victory.
