Before yesterday afternoon’s meeting between the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox, the Twins retired Hall-of-Fame hurler Jim Kaat’s number, 36, in a pre-game ceremony celebrating his impact on the Minnesota Club. Kaat spent 15 seasons with the Twins, including contributing to the franchise’s first World Series run in 1965. To this day, Kaat, while the Club was in Minnesota, leads the Twins in wins, starts, and innings pitched.
