Yesterday afternoon’s meeting between the Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Rays had an improbable ending. In the bottom of the eighth inning, after being up 1-0 since the third, Orioles designated hitter Trey Mancini sent a pop up to right field. Remarkably, the ball wasn’t caught, spurning Mancini to fire up the jets and make his inside-the-park roundtripper. Mancini’s hustle was commendable and he received a standing ovation for his feat, helping his Club win 3-0.
