Brandon Drury made his San Diego Padres debut in last night’s bout between his new Club and the Colorado Rockies. Incredibly, Drury hit a grand slam in his very first plate appearance for the Padres, which marks the first time this has ever happened in Padres franchise history. What's more, the last time a player, after switching teams midseason, hit a grand slam in his first at-bat was over 60 years ago when Rip Repulski did so for the Boston Red Sox in 1960. Needless to say, Drury’s incredible performance did much to propel his Club to their 9-1 win.
