After making his Major League Baseball debut earlier this month, Cleveland Guardians call-up Will Benson notched the first hit and RBI of his MLB career in last night’s contest between his Club and the Detroit Tigers. With a runner on third base in the second inning, Benson connected with a pitch from Drew Hutchinson, sending the ball to shallow right-center field, scoring the runner. Not only was Benson’s first hit a personal highlight, but it was also impactful, as his Club edged out the Tigers, 3-2.
