Kansas City Royals call-up second baseman Michael Massey hit the first home run of his Major League Baseball career in last night's meeting between his Royals and the Tampa Bay Rays. The milestone longball was struck in the eighth inning, after the 24-year-old Massey sent a pitch from Rays relief man Shawn Armstrong well over the right-field wall. Unfortunately, the Royals took home a 7-1 loss on the night, but Massey's first-career blast offered Royals fans quite the silver lining.
