After making his Major League Baseball debut on Wednesday, New York Yankees call-up shortstop Oswaldo Cabrera notched the first hit of his MLB career in last night’s bout with the Toronto Blue Jays. The milestone hit was achieved in the fourth inning of the contest, after Cabrera connected with a pitch from Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios, sending the ball to center-field, and Cabrera to second base. Unfortunately for the Yankees, they took home a 9-2 loss on the night, but Cabrera’s first-career hit was a highlight fans will not soon forget.
