Call-up Washington Nationals outfielder Alex Call hit the first home run of his Major League Baseball career, an impactful one at that, in last night’s bout between his Club and the San Diego Padres. Call’s two-run homer was belted in the ninth inning of the contest, off Padres reliever Josh Hader, to give his Club a late-game, two-run lead. The 27-year-old, Burns­ville, Minnesota native was jubilant after connecting for the lead-generating homer and confirmed that he’ll remember this moment for the rest of his life.
