Max Scherzer

Yesterday afternoon’s contest between the New York Mets and the Colorado Rockies was an incredibly competitive game from beginning to end. Amazingly, Mets starter Max Scherzer notched 11 strikeouts over the course of the game, walking just one Colorado batter and allowing just one run in his seven-inning performance. Remarkably, this marked Scherzer’s 110th game in which he struck out 10 or more batters, tying him with Roger Clemens for third all-time.
