After notching the 80th RBI of his 2022 Major League Baseball campaign in last night’s bout with the Chicago Cubs, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. became just the third player in Toronto Blue Jays history to collect 80 or more RBI in multiple seasons before turning 24. Guerrero Jr. collected two RBI on the night and his performance was undoubtedly highlighted by his seventh-inning solo homer belted off Cubs hurler Michael Rucker. Evidently, Guerrero Jr.’s two-RBI performance did much to secure a hard-fought, 5-3 victory for his Blue Jays.
