Sean Murphy

Oakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy notched the first grand slam of his Major League Baseball career as part of his Club's 10-6 victory over the Washington Nationals last night. In the fifth inning of the contest, Murphy smashed a pitch from Washington hurler Steve Cishek, sending it right over the left-center-field wall to increase his Club's lead to a healthy five runs. Murphy, who also picked up another RBI on the night, contributed significantly to his Club's hard-earned victory.
