Boston Red Sox rookie catcher Connor Wong smashed the very first home run of his Major League Baseball career in the seventh inning of his Club’s meeting with the Texas Rangers last night. This milestone, two-run longball was belted off Rangers right-hander A.J. Alexy and was sent high and long over the Green Monster at Fenway Park. Furthermore, the home run played a humble part in his Club’s substantial 9-1 victory over the Texas-based ballclub.
