Scott Rolen was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame's Class of 2023, joining Fred McGriff, who was elected earlier last month. Rolen, a 17-year veteran who played in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Toronto and Cincinnati, captured NL Rookie of the Year honors in 1997, was named to seven MLB All-Star Games, won eight defensive awards and a World Series ring in 2006. He stated he is still deciding between a Phillies or Cardinals cap on his plaque.
