After a blockbuster three-way trade was finalized between the Atlanta Braves, Oakland Athletics and Milwaukee Brewers, all Clubs will be sporting new catchers ahead of the 2023 season. Sean Murphy, a defensive-award-winning backstop, joins the Atlanta Braves; William Contreras, who was named to his first MLB All-Star team in 2022, joins the Milwaukee Brewers; and top prospects Esteury Ruiz and Kyle Muller, along with veteran backstop Manny Piña are headed to Oakland.
