Aaron Judge

“I belong in New York,” proclaimed Aaron Judge in a press conference held at Yankee Stadium early Wednesday morning, as he and the Club formally announced the outfielder’s new contract and title of captain of the New York Yankees. The deal, which was confirmed by the Club in a press release the day before, is a record-breaking nine-year, $360 million agreement and surely solidifies Judge as an indispensable franchise player. Judge’s coronation as the 16th captain in Yankees history was no small affair, and, according to Judge, “…is an incredible honor that [he doesn’t] take lightly.”
