The Texas Rangers might’ve gotten a sudden scare, but ultimately saw rookie outfielder Evan Carter save the day. Clinging onto a slim 2-0 margin in the eighth inning, Rangers reliever Aroldis Chapman faced Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman at the plate with one runner on first base. Bregman gave the offspeed pitch a ride to the left-center-field wall, and seemingly had extra bases in the bag. Carter had other plans, timing the ball to make a perfect leaping grab at the wall. It was a crucial play in a huge moment to maintain his Club’s 2-0 lead. The Rangers bullpen would hang on to pick up the ALCS Game 1 win at Minute Maid Park.
