St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker tied an 111-year-old Major League record on Wednesday when his broken bat single snuck through the Colorado Rockies infield in the top of the ninth. In what was a 7-4 road triumph for his squad, Walker leveled himself with Eddie Murphy of the Philadelphia Athletics, who in 1912 as a 20-year-old rookie, hit safely in his first 12 career games. "I'd be lying to say it wasn't cool," Walker said of the history-tying moment.
