The Arizona Diamondbacks desperately needed offense last night against the Los Angeles Dodgers - and newcomer Kyle Lewis was the man for the job. Signed this past offseason, the former American League Rookie of the Year was called upon to pinch-hit in the top of the eighth inning with his Club down 1-0. Lewis changed all of that by smashing a 383-foot two-run moonshot to left field. This was the first career pinch-hit home run for the 27-year-old and sent the Diamondback onto their first victory of the 2023 MLB season.
