Yesterday afternoon, the Cleveland Guardians met with the Colorado Rockies and left Progressive Field with a win, 4-1. That's not all Guardians fans had to celebrate, however, as starting pitcher Tanner Bibee made his long-awaited Major League Baseball debut. Bibee, over the course of his five and two-thirds innings on the mound, fanned an impressive eight Rockies batters and conceded just one run. Amazingly, five of these strikeouts were consecutive, making the 24-year-old right-hander the first player since at least 1920 to whiff five in a row in his MLB debut.
