Oakland Athletics rookie Esteury Ruiz offered his Club’s fans an excellent consolation for their 11-4 loss to the Angels on Wednesday afternoon. Over the course of the contest, Ruiz nicked four bases, becoming the first Athletics player aged 24 or younger to do so since Major League Baseball steal king Rickey Henderson did so in 1983. That’s not all, as Ruiz’s game was truly top-notch, going 2-for-3 at the plate, notching an RBI and a run scored to pair with his historical baserunning feat.
