Xander Bogaerts

Signed this past offseason to bolster an already robust Padres lineup, shortstop Xander Bogaerts has been one of the most consistent contributors for the Club since Opening Day. In last night's 8-3 win over the visiting Cincinnati Reds, Bogaerts singled in the bottom of the fifth, marking 30 consecutive games reaching base from the start of the season for the 30-year-old. This broke the previous Padres record of 29 straight contests, set by Bobby Bonds back in 1983.
