After 10 seasons with the Boston Red Sox, Xander Bogaerts heads to the west coast to join the San Diego Padres after he and the Club reached an 11-year, $280-million agreement. Bogaerts, who helped lead the Red Sox to two World Series championships, is coming off an excellent 2022; specifically, Bogaerts posted a .307 batting average and collected an impressive 73 RBI. Looking forward, Bogaerts joins a Padres roster rife with talent, including top-tier midseason acquisition Juan Soto.
