Growing up idolizing Boston Red Sox switch-hitting catcher Jason Varitek, Cal Raleigh made some history from both sides of the plate on Monday night. The Seattle Mariners catcher did something even Varitek never did at Fenway Park, becoming the first catcher to hit home runs from both sides of the plate in the stadium’s 112-year history. The 26-year-old smashed a left-handed homer in the top of the fifth and one inning later, would go yard again from the right side of the dish.
