Just one day after making his Major League Baseball debut, the 13th-overall pick of the 2020 MLB Draft, Patrick Bailey, picked up the first hit of his big-league career.The 23-year-old, San Francisco Giants switch hitter did so in the eighth inning of his Club's meeting with the Miami Marlins on Saturday. With two outs, Bailey connected with a pitch from Marlins left-handed relief man Tanner Scott and sent the ball to shallow right field, sparking a standing ovation from the home fans at Oracle Park.
