Yesterday, the Philadelphia Phillies met with and bested the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park and left the field victorious, 2-1, thanks in no small part to some strong starting pitching. Zack Wheeler was called to action and twirled an absolute gem on Saturday, spending eight scoreless innings on the mound in which he notched a season-high 12 strikeouts while allowing just one walk and three hits. The win improves Wheeler's 2023 record to an even four-and-four and paves the way for the Phillies to win their four-game series against their intra-divisional opponents.
