Cleveland Guardians star José Ramírez took matters into his own hands on Thursday, against the Kansas City Royals. At the top of the 10th inning, with the score knotted at two, the 30-year-old made a game-changing decision. He raced to home plate on a steal attempt and was successful, avoiding the tag and giving his team a late lead. Ramírez is the first Guardians player since 2019, and the first in extra innings since at least 1974, to steal home plate.
