Freddie Freeman inserted his name into Dodgers history on Saturday against the Texas Rangers. The slugging first baseman smashed two homers in the third and fourth innings, powering his team to a 16-4 win. Freeman’s performance makes him the first player in franchise history to notch at least 20 longballs and 35 doubles before the end of July. He is also the first player in American League or National League history with 20-plus homers, 35-plus doubles and 125-plus hits, 10-plus steals, and 40-plus walks before August 1st.
