Sandy Alcantara threw all the right stuff as he squared off Wednesday afternoon with the Tampa Bay Rays lineup. The Miami Marlins hurler kept batters guessing throughout the contest, en route to his second complete game of the season, a 7-1 victory. He tossed just 97 pitches in the outing, also known as a “Maddux” for being under 100 pitches, and the fewest thrown by a starter in a nine-inning complete game this year. It was also the first complete game thrown at Tropicana Field in more than five seasons.
