Yesterday, Cincinnati Reds talent Elly De La Cruz belted the ninth home run of his introductory Major League Baseball campaign and did so in style. The longball, his second in as many contests, was a third-inning, 113-mph rocket of a solo shot to left field belted off Washington Nationals starter Patrick Corbin. Most notable about the blast, however, was that it was De La Cruz’s first big-league bomb as a right-handed batter.
