Thursday’s early action against the Cleveland Guardians resumed from Wednesday’s suspended game (August 23), where Betts had already collected two hits. The 2018 American League MVP would tack on three more knocks and plate two runs in the 6-1 win. The five-hit effort was the second of his career and the first for a Dodgers player since Justin Turner did it during the 2019 season.
