Oakland Athletics first-year phenom Zack Gelof continues to rake since being promoted to MLB. With a man on third and two outs, Gelof smoked a two-run, go-ahead shot that had just enough distance over the left-field fence against the Chicago White Sox. The homer was his 10th on the season (35 games since his July 14 promotion), making him the quickest player in franchise history to reach that number in that many games, besting team icon, Mark McGwire. The 23-year-old is hitting .346 with seven blasts and 13 RBI in the month of August.
