August closes with historic franchise homer total

The Philadelphia Phillies bat rack was red-hot all throughout the month of August - and the statistics can certainly back that up. The Club mashed an astounding 59 home runs from August 1st to 31st - marking the highest monthly total for the team in their history, the most by any team in a single month this season, and 3rd-most ever by a team in a single month since 1904.
