The Tampa Bay Rays maintained their undefeated status past yesterday afternoon’s matchup against the Oakland Athletics, thanks in no small part to leadoff batter Brandon Lowe. In the fourth inning, with his Club up by just one run and the bases loaded, Lowe connected with a pitch from Athletics starter James Kaprielian to belt a grand slam. Lowe wasn’t finished, however, as in the seventh, he connected for an RBI single, doing more than his fair share in his Rays victory, 11-0.
