The 2020 National League MVP Award winner continues to demonstrate why he's one of the most elite hitters in Major League Baseball. Having singled twice already in last night's bout between his Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals, Freeman walked up to the plate in the fifth inning before legging out a double on a hit past the second baseman. In reaching second base safely, the 33-year-old stands alone atop the franchise record mountain for the most doubles in a season with 53. The 14-year veteran passes Johnny Frederick's mark of 52, which was set way back in 1929.
