It’s probably not shocking to see the Atlanta Braves officially punch their MLB Postseason ticket with Sunday’s 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Still, to be the first Club to make it to October and to currently have a 15-game lead in the National League East Division is a testament to how great they have been all season. Ronald Acuña Jr. continued his National League MVP Award push with his two-run single in the seventh inning, giving him 93 RBI in 2023. With the Postseason berth in the bag, the Braves can turn their attention to securing the division, having a current magic number of seven.
