San Diego Padres star outfielder Juan Soto reached a mark he hasn’t seen since the 2019 season on Wednesday. In a divisional bout against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the 24-year-old crushed a solo shot in the opening frame to give his Club an early 1-0 lead. It was his 30th of 2023 and the first time he’s hit that many in four years. The blast makes Soto the sixth player in MLB history with multiple 30-homer and 100-walk campaigns before the age of 25. He joins Ted Williams, Mel Ott, Mickey Mantle, Eddie Mathews, and Jimmie Foxx in that respect.
