Rhys Hoskins

The crowd on hand at Citizens Bank Park were treated to a pleasant surprise in Game 1 of the National League Wild Card. Fan-favorite and first baseman Rhys Hoskins was tabbed with the honors of throwing out the first pitch. Deservingly, the 30-year-old heard nothing but heartwarming cheers from the Philadelphia faithful. Hoskins, who missed the entire 2023 season due to an injury, threw a strike to Kyle Schwarber at the plate. Teammates embraced having one of their own there as the Club picked up a 4-1 victory over the Miami Marlins.
