It was a clean American League Wild Card sweep for the Texas Rangers, getting the job done in just two games. Texas executed with timely hitting and efficient pitching, thanks to its first two starters Jordan Montgomery and Nathan Eovaldi, who held the Rays to one run across 13.2 combined innings. Rookie outfielder Evan Carter stole the show, reaching base safely in six straight plate appearances to begin his Postseason career, while belting his first career homer in October. The Rangers secured their first Postseason series win since 2011 when they reached their second straight World Series.
