Skip Schumaker

Former MLB player and now Manager Skip Schumaker made an immediate impact on the Miami Marlins, leading to him being named the 2023 National League Manager of the Year Award winner. The 43-year-old pushed the right buttons for the franchise in his first season as the skipper, guiding the Club to their first Postseason appearance since 2020. Schumaker becomes just the fourth Marlins manager to reach the achievement and the eighth to do so in his first year as a big-league skipper. He navigated the Marlins ship to an 84-78 record in a tough NL East Division.
