For a Club with as much history as the Boston Red Sox, it’s not every day that a player etches his name into the record books of the 123-year-old team. Cam Booser, a 31-year-old former carpenter who was signed by the Minnesota Twins in 2013, made his MLB debut for Boston in the ninth inning of Friday evening’s bout with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Remarkably, Booser became the oldest player to debut for the franchise since 32-year-old hurler Tommy Fine did in 1947.
