Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal continued his impressive start to the season on a rainy Sunday afternoon in the Bronx. In his seventh start, the southpaw fanned a career-best 12 Yankees hitters in six strong innings of work. The 27-year-old is the youngest Tigers pitcher to record a dozen strikeouts in a game since 25-year-old Max Scherzer had 14 in 2010. Skubal is also the ninth pitcher in Tigers history to log 12+ punch-outs without yielding a walk in a start. “I’m confident in my stuff,” Skubal said.
